Professional Formulas' homeopathics are prepared in a clean room environment and undergo microbiological testing to rule out contamination. Every mother tincture is cold percolated for at least 14 days and is agar-plate cultured in an incubator for 48 hours before approval for the next stage of manufacturing or quality control. We ensure quality and consistency through careful attention to every detail, such as using the purest pH-balanced water controlled by a 5-stage reverse osmosis water filter, a UV light bacterial eliminator, water softening, and desired microwater pH regulation. Introduction to Homeopathy

Since the eighteenth century, homeopathy has been used to stimulate the body to engage its own healing mechanisms in pursuit of restoring homeostasis. While allopathic medicine treats disease by the suppression and regulation of symptoms or by attempting to destroy the microbes associated with a condition, homeopathic medicines have little to no toxicity associated with them, but are instead designed to assist the body in achieving its own natural balance.

Homeopathy is based upon the Law of Similars, which suggests that highly diluted substances will assist the body in alleviating symptoms or effects that are caused by the same or similar substances in their non-diluted states. An example is belladonna, which if taken in its pure state would cause high fever, dilated pupils, and a throbbing pulse. Accordingly, a doctor might prescribe homeopathic belladonna for a patient with those symptoms.

Homeopathic remedies are diluted (potentized) and manufactured under very strict and specific guidelines. The most common potencies are decimal (X) and centesimal (C). This means that, in the case of an X potency, the remedy is prepared by diluting one part of an original liquid substance in nine parts of a diluting agent (typically purified water and alcohol). The resulting ten parts of diluted mixture is hand-shaken using a technique called succussion, and then repeatedly diluted and succussed again in a similar fashion. Each time the process is repeated, the resulting mixture becomes biochemically more diluted and energetically more activated. A remedy at a 6X potency has been diluted 1:10 six times, meaning that the final product possesses one part of the original substance in one million parts of diluted finished product. A 6C potency has been serially diluted 1:100 and subsequently succussed six times. Importantly, all of Professional Formulas' homeopathic remedies are prepared using traditional hand-succussion.
